Bridal hair and makeup trial previews are so important for multiple reasons, which we break down in more detail in our post, “The Purpose of a Bridal Hair and Makeup Trial“. One of the most important reasons is trying out a look you like and keeping an open mind to make adjustments to ensure you’re fully satisfied by the time the wedding day comes. Sometimes that means coming in for a second trial to try a completely different look or really work out the kinks ahead of the big day, but most times it simply means communicating with us during your trial to make adjustments to your liking before leaving the studio, then making sure to complete our trial follow up form a couple days after the appointment once you’ve had a chance to marinate on everything. Once we get this feedback, we can adjust our notes and are prepared to tweak things to make your look what you ultimately envision for your wedding day!

Below are a couple examples of real brides we’ve had that left helpful feedback for us after their trial. You can see in the before and after that the entire looks aren’t necessarily different, instead we combined what they loved from the trial and the changes they wanted to make to create their ideal look.

“I loved meeting with Lauren and Carissa! The afternoon was relaxing and fun and I appreciated them asking for feedback throughout the process! I like to sit on things for a bit and see how it looks/feels, so I appreciate the follow-up email to allow for additional feedback! I thought I wanted a textured low up-do but after seeing how much hair I have (!), I would like to go with a smaller bun “knot”, rather than having lots of pinned up layers. I did not love the way the front looked (it looked/felt too loose) and the side part seemed a bit too far over; I would like to pull the front pieces tighter and have a few loose tendrils instead to soften the look.”

“Everything went well. The process was enjoyable and I felt that everyone was helpful and thorough throughout the process. For the makeup I liked the darker eyes and the red tint of the lip but I think the lip was too dark in the end if we can keep the red tint but lighten it a bit (thinking a mix of the first nudish color and the end result color would do the trick?) and just add fuller lashes.”
